Team USA's Showcase Tour Rolls On
Victory Against South Sudan
Team USA's pre-Olympic showcase tour continued with a hard-fought 101-100 victory over South Sudan on Saturday.
The United States overcame a 16-point deficit to beat South Sudan, the youngest nation playing international basketball, and remain undefeated in their exhibition games.
South Sudan shot over 57% from the floor, including a gaudy 6-for-13 from three-point range. The US, meanwhile, hit from three just 25% of the time.
LeBron James led the way for Team USA with 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Anthony Davis added 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Donovan Mitchell chipped in with 16 points.
South Sudan was led by Nuni Omot, who had 30 points and 8 rebounds. Kueth Duany added 18 points, while Thon Maker had 16 points and 10 rebounds.
