FC Twente fan angry at Keolis: 'Supporter is too easily blamed'
Keolis denies the accusations
FC Twente fan Hans van den Berg is angry at Keolis, the operator of the trains in Twente. According to the fan, supporters are being blamed too quickly when there are problems with train services.
'Send a replacement bus'
Van den Berg comes to this conclusion after a message from Keolis via social media last week. A train to Enschede was cancelled and Keolis wrote in a message that the train was too full of supporters of FC Twente.
"I think it's a bit easy to blame the supporter," said Van den Berg. "I think they should send a replacement bus for the train that is cancelled. We have been doing this with FC Twente for years."
Keolis: 'The majority of the train was full of FC Twente fans'
Keolis denies that supporters are being blamed too quickly. According to a spokesperson, the majority of the train consisted of FC Twente supporters.
"We understand that it is annoying when a train is cancelled," said the spokesperson. "But we are not going to send a replacement bus if the majority of the train consists of supporters of FC Twente.
'We are not to blame'
Van den Berg does not agree with this statement. According to him, there were hardly any Twente fans on the train that was cancelled last week.
"I think Keolis is just looking for an excuse," said Van den Berg. "We are not to blame for the problems with the trains. The trains are often cancelled or delayed and that has nothing to do with the supporters of FC Twente."
